HER Lab Returns: Empowering Female Entrepreneurship in Kenya

Following a successful 2023 pilot, the Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship once again collaborated with Global Give Back Circle to economically empower rural young women in Kenya through the HER Lab program. Entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool to uplift communities, yet the regions where it is most impactful often face the highest barriers to entry. Entrepreneurs in these regions must overcome a triple disadvantage of systemic financial exclusion, restrictive gender norms such as early marriage and domestic labour, and a lack of access to formal professional networks required to turn a skill into a sustainable enterprise.
